Use a Computer

The library has public computers with Internet access. This describes what we have and how to use them.

Ashton Library has four computers available for public use.  They each have a browser (unfiltered) for Internet access as well as word processing programs.

Anyone accessing the Internet must read the library's Internet Policy and sign acceptance of it.  Persons younger than 16 are required to have on file a permission slip signed by a parent or guardian in the presence of the librarian.

Time limits are one hour per day and two hours per week.  Usage time may be limited to 30 minutes if others are waiting to use the computers.

The entire Internet Policy can be read in the Library Policies section.
